One can see dark thin to thick layers on forehead, area around mouth, area adjust to lower part of the nose. As this damage increases skin becomes more thin, dry, rough, dyspigmented. Its bruise ability increases. In beauty those who are working in sunlight or on field duty are more likely to get affected at early adult age.  On the face these areas are to be most bothered.

Photodamage & Photoaging Changes in the Skin

Due to stronger sunlight Indians tend to develop slowly progressing damage in the skin. Such damage often remains unnoticeable or untreated for months or even for years together. Those use cosmetics & fairness creams without concurrent sun protection & medical skin care tend to develop such damage.

This is most common problem in Indian skin.
Decease in fairness or increase in dark colour tone of the skin is most common cosmetic medical problem. It may recur or may increase further in future at any time due to multiple factors. Due to

self-medication and incomplete follow up treatment person fails to achieve enough results. Even though most of sufferer know these factors which provoke failure in achieving results, they hardly take precautions to make treatment effective.

Multiple treatment modalities are available to prevent damage & keep skin fair & glowing. Laser facial skin rejuvenation is most commonly preferred, scientific and most effective treatment to improve dark colour tone of the skin. One needs to keep follow up treatment at certain intervals which varies from 2-6 months to maintain quality of results. As age increases most of us also need additional medical treatment to prevent aging changes.

Many women tend to develop loss of upper layer of the epidermis.  Upper layer of Superficial part of the skin protects and tend of maintain fairness and glow of the skin. Due to such loss this layer skin loses its permanent normal protection and maintaining fairness in that area. Such areas are commonly observed on the face around mouth and eyes.

Benefits

Achieving Stunning Results with Laser Sun Burn Treatment

Laser treatment for sunburn involves using specific laser technologies to accelerate the healing process of sun-damaged skin and alleviate the symptoms associated with severe sunburn. While not the first line of treatment for typical sunburn, which often resolves with home care measures, laser therapy can be beneficial for more severe cases or to address long-term damage in sunburn-prone individuals. Here are six benefits of using laser treatment for sunburn recovery and skin restoration:

Laser treatments can accelerate the natural healing process of the skin by stimulating the cells responsible for skin repair. This can lead to a quicker recovery from the acute effects of sunburn, such as redness, peeling, and discomfort.

Specific types of lasers are designed to target the blood vessels that contribute to the redness and inflammation associated with sunburn. By reducing these symptoms, laser therapy can provide relief and improve the appearance of sun-damaged skin.

The cooling effect of certain laser treatments can provide immediate relief from the pain and heat sensation caused by sunburn. This non-invasive approach can be a soothing alternative to traditional sunburn remedies.

Repeated sun exposure and sunburn can lead to rough, uneven skin texture. Laser therapy helps promote the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins essential for maintaining smooth, resilient skin. Over time, this can lead to improvements in skin texture and firmness.

In cases of severe sunburn, blistering and peeling can be extensive and uncomfortable. Laser treatment can help reduce the severity of these symptoms by promoting faster healing and reducing the risk of infection.

Chronic sun exposure and repeated sunburns increase the risk of premature aging and skin cancer. By addressing the immediate damage caused by sunburn, laser treatments can also contribute to the prevention of long-term skin health issues, including reducing the likelihood of developing sunspots, wrinkles, and other signs of aging related to sun damage.

FAQ

Laser Sun Burn / Photo Damage Treatment

It’s important to consult with a dermatologist or a professional skilled in laser treatments to determine the most appropriate type of laser therapy for your specific condition. Additionally, prevention of sunburn through the use of sunscreen, protective clothing, and avoiding excessive sun exposure remains the most effective strategy for maintaining healthy skin.

Answer: Laser treatment cannot "cure" sunburn instantly, as sunburn is an acute inflammatory response to UV damage. However, certain laser treatments can accelerate the healing process, reduce inflammation, and alleviate some symptoms of sunburn, such as redness and pain. The effectiveness and immediacy of results can vary based on the severity of the sunburn and the individual's skin type.

Answer: Laser treatment is generally considered safe for many skin types and conditions, but it may not be suitable for all types of sunburn, especially if the skin is blistering or broken. A consultation with a dermatologist or laser treatment specialist is necessary to assess the condition of the sunburn and determine the most appropriate treatment plan.

Answer: The types of lasers used can vary depending on the specific symptoms being treated. For example, pulsed dye lasers may be used to reduce redness and inflammation, while fractional lasers might be employed to promote healing and reduce peeling. The choice of laser will depend on the individual's skin condition and the treatment provider's expertise.

Answer: The number of treatments required can vary widely depending on the severity of the sunburn and the individual's healing process. Some may see improvement after a single session, while others might need several treatments to achieve the desired results. Your treatment provider will develop a personalized treatment plan based on your specific needs.

Answer: During the session, you may feel a cooling sensation or mild discomfort, similar to the snap of a rubber band against the skin, depending on the type of laser used. The procedure can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, and protective eyewear is usually provided to protect your eyes from the laser light.

Answer: As with any laser treatment, there are potential risks, including temporary redness, swelling, and sensitivity at the treatment site. More serious side effects are rare but can include changes in skin pigmentation, blistering, and scarring. Choosing a qualified and experienced provider and following all pre- and post-treatment care instructions can help minimize these risks.
