No woman likes hair on her face, hands & legs. Most commonly used methods for removal of hair procedures are waxing, threading and plucking. But these procedures produce results for temporary period and these non-medical /nonscientific procedures have their side effects and these procedures are required to be done for whole life. So avoid these procedures as these are outdated in our digital era. So, we should prefer scientific procedure of laser hair removal or reduction with Long Pulse Diode Laser Nd:YAG Laser and Alexandrite Laser.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL cosmetic treatment is done for unwanted hair on the face & the body for cosmetic reasons. Hairless skin can be a reality with the help of Nd:YAG LASER, diode laser and INTENSE PULSE LIGHT (IPL).
Psychosocial effect of unwanted hair on the personality: Unwanted hair or excess hair is a problem in many women and also some men. Depending on fashions, age, sex, age, season etc. site of undesirable hairs vary. If hairs are more than cultural norms, it is socially distressing. These hairs cause embarrassment to ladies of all age group. Many times they face unnecessary inferiority complex, stress, anxiety, social isolation, loneliness, over conscious feeling, reduction in self-confidence and depression.
Area of Laser Hair Removal
Most of the women remove unwanted hairs of upper lip, chin, forehead, pinna of ear, face, neck, area between and around the eye brows, fore arms, legs, underarms (axilla), bikini line, belly, back, inner thighs, breasts etc. Every day, men shave their facial hairs. Nasal hairs and hairs of ear pinna are occasionally shaved. If these hairs are thick & dark coloured, these are more embarrassing to that person. Such men may undergo hair removal from pinna, upper half of cheek, unwanted hair in between both eye brows.
Why one may need to repeat treatment 6-10 times?
For the laser to be most effective the hairs should be treated in the growth phase of its growth cycles multiple treatments are needed. All of the hairs are not in the same stage growth cycle at any given time. So there is no laser that can eliminate all hair in one treatment.
Is laser hair removal painful?
During the laser hair removal procedure, you will feel a light stinging sensation, which indicates that laser has destroyed the hair root. Some have the feeling of a rubber band snapping against the skin. Now a days people who do not want pain during this procedure can use anesthetic cream before this procedure. Now laser comes with a cooling tip and or cooling devices.
Good Results: Results are very good in persons with fair skin & person with thick hairs. If treatment is done with laser beam having spot size 12 mm on face and 15 to 18 mm more on back, chest. Such big spot size of laser can reach upto root of the hair & destroy it effectively. Smaller spot size and cheaper laser machines are not able to do so.

We use 5 types of Hi-Tech lasers at our centre for very good results of laser hair removal. Ours is only centre in North Maharastra where maximum number of lasers are available for Hair removal.
We use Hi Tech laser machine such as Gentle YAG Laser(America)(,LP Nd YAG Laser 1064 nm laser) NeXTProXL,-(810 nm laser ,950 nm laser i. e. Diode laser ,& 755 nm Laser i.e. alexandrite Laser) (Asclepion, Germany), SynchroHP (ILP,LP Nd YAG laser )(Deka, Italy) are efficiently able to do laser hair removal with these laser machine. Medlite C Hi-Tech Lasers machines (for vellus hair) in our Centre. Prevents.
It is because there is enough deep penetration of such high-quality laser beam with very big spot size. High Quality lasers can be produced by these high quality laser machines and so results at our cosmetic laser centre are very good. In person having normal hormonal level, results are either lasting for very long time or permanent.
We use hi-tech laser machines having big sized laser spots from 3 sq.cm to 9.1 sq.cm. So these laser machines give better results and early results than the machines having 1 sq.cm (12 mm X 12mm) spot size.
Number of treatment sessions required
Usually 6 to 10 treatment sessions are suggested for good results. Woman having hormonal imbalance problem may need additional maintenance laser treatment at the gap of 3 to 12 months. Initially treatment session is done at interval of 4 to 8 weeks. Then this interval may be increased if one observes good response to the treatment.
With every laser treatment session thickness of hair, number of hairs and speed of the hair growth gradually reduce.
Extent of benefit
Some patient gets 100% results. In most of the people hair are reduced to 80 to 90%. The remaining hairs are very thin, pale and so they are not easily visible (vallus). Those who have hormonal problem

when we use longpulse Nd:YAG with big spot size(15 mm to 20 mm) skin quality and appearance improves. The old damage on the surface of the skin caused by non-medical treatment in parlour improves with this laser.
In the person having fair skin, thicker hair and normal hormonal level results of hair removal are very best. Those who have thinner hair, less dark hair and hormonal disturbances (PCOS/PCOD) have less results.
Occasionally why in some person less results are seen:?
In case of normal hormonal level results are less in persons with thinner hair, less dark hairs and persons with sensitive pilosebaceous unit PCOD cases. In persons having imbalanced hormonal problem or other hormonal problems. e.g. PCOD cases results are less. Those who have hormonal imbalance problem or PCOS/PCOD problem may need additional maintenance periodic treatment- once in every 6 to 12 months for variable period. Those who have hormonal imbalance need additional treatment of hormonal balance simultaneously for good results.
When patient get less results, he says lasers are less effective but actually it means person needs more treatment sittings and more energy which can be produced by hi-tech laser machines. Such machines are costlier. Those who are in good dialogue with treating expert are guided effectively.
All persons undergoing hair removal treatment are not asked for hormonal assessment Only those who have strong problem or cases showing less response are asked for hormonal assessment.
Results are not good if laser with small spot size of 4 to 8 mm is use, persons who take irregular treatment or who do not keep proper follow up as suggested by treating cosmetic physician. Those who are in hurry for good results are likely to be victim of poor management of treatment and their improper follow up.
